ANN HAMILTON THE EVENT OF A THREAD 6th Jul 2018 - Immersive Interdisciplinary Installation- Short Film Gala Opening Reception-Friday July 6 @ 7-10pm July 6th, One Night Creators Project 7 Educational video screenings, interviews and artworks of major artists, with juxtaposed methodologies that push the limits of art, culture and interaction. Internationally renowned interdisciplinary artist Ann Hamiltons-[USA] massive installation is a multisensory affair, the work draws together readings, opera, sound, kinetics and live events within a field of swings that together invite visitors to connect to the action of each other and the work itself, illuminating the experience of the singular and collective body, the relationship between the animal and the human. Join us for the Glittery 30th Anniversary Gala Opening Reception-Birthday & Volunteer/Appreciation Party. featuring a ferocity of art with over 100 visual artists/live music and specialty performances by: Sachiko Catherine aerial silks performance-Dee Marie of compelling characters choreographed technical fire fan performance. As well ravishing retro birthday cakes/champagne, catered food by the Sovereign Room, Sushi Bowl, Sweet Escape Bakery+Chocolitts. It all happens – Friday July 6 @ 7:00-10pm.
