BIINDIGAATE FILM FESTIVAL ART EXHIBITION

In association with the Biindigaate Film Festival, experience visual art by contemporary regional Aboriginal artists, selected film/videos and live musical performances by Classic Roots and Robin Ranger.   Gala Opening Reception of art, musical performances, and refreshments on Thursday September 27 @ 9:00PM.   The gallery is open during the festival everyday 12-6pm. Exhibition runs until Saturday October 13.   Gallery 1 & 2 .

Featured Artists:Christian Chapman, Candace Twance, Christy Cameron, Mike Anderson, Patricia Ningewance, Randy Thomas, Erick and Lisa Hanson. Screening of Shapeshifters in Gallery 3 features a series of nine video profiles featuring Aboriginal artists in Ontario featuring: Jean Marshall, Bear Witness, Michelle Derosier, Christian Chapman, Michael Belmore, Dan Commanda & Brenda Lee, Sid Bobb & Penny Couchie, Cheryl L’Hirondelle and Waawaate Fobister . Shapeshifters was co-produced by Thunderstone Pictures and the Ontario Arts Council.
